Top ten Mourinho smart answers to sarcastic comments

Jose Mourinho should have a great relationship with Chelsea supporters.

As the man who gave them three league titles - 60 percent of the league championships their club has EVER won - you might think the Manchester United boss could expect a warm welcome when he returns to Stamford Bridge.

Apparently not. During United's 1-0 defeat in the FA Cup quarter-final, a large number of Chelsea fans booed and jeered their former hero.

So how did Mourinho deal with this unexpected abuse? In typical Mourinho style, of course.
"Are these people serious? Do they not remember who am I?"
During the game, he simply held up three fingers, to remind the home support of those three league titles. Straight after the match, he went one step further - delivering one of his classic comedy putdowns:

“Until the moment they have a manager that wins four Premier Leagues for them, I'm the No1. When they have somebody who wins four Premier Leagues for them, I'll be No2. For this moment, Judas is No1."

Ouch. Mind you, the Stamford Bridge boo-boys are not the first victims of a Mourinho barb. Not by a long shot. After he came up with the outstanding reply to Chelsea fans booing him, here are the best/wittiest insults ever delivered by The Special One.

Memphis Depay: Lyon agree £14.7m deal to sign Manchester United forward

Memphis Depay

French club, Lyon, have agreed to a deal to sign Manchester United forward, Memphis Depay. The Red Devils have agreed to sell him for around €17m (£14.75m), with the fee capable of rising to €25m if a series of add-ons are triggered.

United rejected a £13m bid from Lyon earlier this month. However, it seems the two clubs have reached an agreement after Lyon improved their offer in the second bid.

According to reports from the Guardian, United will have a buy-back option as well as sell-on clauses inserted into the deal. Depay joined United from PSV Eindhoven for £25m in the summer of 2015 under Louis van Gaal, but has struggled to make a strong impact for José Mourinho.

José Mourinho accuses Antonio Conte of humiliating him after Chelsea defeat

Jose Mourinho (L) shakes hands with Antonio Conte
Mourinho speaks with Conte at full time
José Mourinho accused Antonio Conte of trying to humiliate him as he endured his worst defeat in English football on his return to Chelsea, and tensions spilled over into the tunnel post-match as back-room staff members of both clubs clashed.

Manchester United conceded after just 30 seconds to Pedro Rodríguez and succumbed 4-0 at Stamford Bridge, potentially losing their centre-half Eric Bailly to a serious knee injury en route, with Mourinho berating his team’s “incredible mistakes” at the back. The Portuguese had been infuriated by Conte’s attempts to whip up the home support after N’Golo Kanté scored Chelsea’s fourth goal, and confronted his opposite number as they shook hands at the final whistle.

5 reasons Liverpool may beat Mourinho's United

The English Premier League match-day eight is upon us and the match to look forward to is the Anfield clash between Liverpool and Manchester United on Monday. Two juggernauts of the English game and one that always feels like a derby, even though Manchester is greatly separated from Liverpool.

It can also be added that the two teams are currently led by two of the most sought after managers in the world – Jurgen Klopp and Jose Mourinho but at the moment, Liverpool seem to be in better shape than United, which leads us to these following possibilities.

Tempo and intensity
The Liverpool players seem to have found their rhythm in the Klopp template. They know what they have to do to the opponent and when to do it as a unit. Like they would say, they are hunting in packs while United are still getting to know their best formation and the best players that fit that formation. United players were like rabbits caught in the glare of the  light in the first half against Manchester City last month – it could get worse on Monday!

Community Shield: Manchester United beat Leicester with Ibrahimovic header

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has helped to put the blockbuster feel back into Manchester United and the striker who has promised to become a footballing god to the club’s fans offered an illustration of his patented sense of occasion.

The curtain-raiser to the Premier League season had been engaging enough, marked by Jesse Lingard’s marvellous solo goal and a deserved Leicester City equaliser from Jamie Vardy, but it looked to be sliding towards a rather artificial penalty shootout conclusion.
Enter Zlatan. The free-agent signing from Paris Saint-Germain had successfully executed a back-heel with his first touch in the early running – the Swede is addicted to the extravagant. But it was what he did in the 83rd minute that represented his setting down of a marker.

Víctor Valdés

Middlesbrough have confirmed they have completed the signing of former Barcelona and Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes on July 7, Thursday. The World Cup winner signed a two-year deal with the Premier League newcomers.

“Middlesbrough have completed the signing of World Cup winning goalkeeper Victor Valdes,” a statement read on Middlesbrough’s official website.

“Boro beat off stiff competition to the land the Barcelona legend after an 18-month spell with Manchester United came to an end earlier this summer,” it added.
The 34-year-old left the Catalan club as a free agent in the summer of 2014 and months before he left Camp Nou, he suffered a long-term injury, which made it difficult to find a club immediately after his contract expired at Barcelona.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is ready to sanction the sale of Nemanja Matic this summer.

The player had a season to forget last year and it seems that the Serbian midfielder could leave the London club once again.

TRANSFER RUMOURS: Manchester United ready to complete £100million move for Paul Pogba

pogba

French midfielder Paul Pogba looks set to leave the Italian champions this summer.

The likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United, Barcelona, PSG and Manchester City have all been linked with a move for the Juventus star.

Manchester United have already initiated contact with Juventus for the signing of Paul Pogba according to Mirror.

The Old Trafford giants are ready to pay a world record fee for the young midfielder. United are willing to offer the player wages of around 300,000 pounds per week and will bid in the region of 100 million pounds for him.
Jose Mourinho is however keen to add to his midfield and believes that Pogba is the ideal candidate out there. Manchester United are in desperate need of a box-to-box midfielder, someone who can contribute in attack as well as defense.

Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri has also backed up Mirror’s claim of a world record fee. The Italian has gone one step further and is claiming that everything is in order for the move to be completed. Apparently an agreement has been reached with the player and Manchester United will now submit their bid of 120 million euros.

Pogba is one of the finest central midfielders in the world right now and has the age and ability to justify his world record fee in the long run. Pogba had a superb season with Juventus last year, scoring 10 goals and providing 16 assists in all competitions.

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud scored twice while Antonine Griezmann, Paul Pogba and Dimitri Payet also got their name on the scoresheet as France beat Iceland 5-2 at St-Denis on Sunday evening to secure their passage to the semifinals of Euro 2016.

Didier Deschamps made two changes to the side that won 2-1 against Ireland in their last match: Samuel Umtiti made his international debut in place of suspended Adil Rami, while N’Golo Kante, also suspended, is replaced by Moussa Sissoko.

Dimitri Payet drilled a low 20-yard shot that goalkeeper Halldorsson spilt out in front of him, but grabbed the loose ball in time.

France took an early lead through Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud. Matuidi played a lovely pass over the top of the defence to Giroud, who down the inside left channel scored with an excellent first-time shot.
